Leave a Legacy
A Gift Through your Will or Estate
The Wellspring Community
is one of the few inclusive spaces where people of faith work and pray together for peace and justice across denominational, cultural, faith and gender divides. Leaving a bequest to Wellspring supports this gift of hope into the future.
Why Consider a Gift in Your Will?
Your generosity sustains Wellspring's ministries of seminars, pilgrimages, retreats and reflection days, resources that connect prayer and social engagement, community gatherings, and involvement in public demonstrations and advocacy for justice, reconciliation and care for creation. Like many faith-based movements, Wellspring relies on voluntary giving. Even a small percentage of your estate can make a lasting difference.
Leaving a Gift of Hope for the Future
Our Wellspring Community includes people from many Christian faith traditions and those with no previous church background. Together we seek justice and compassion for all humans and our earth as our response to the life of Jesus Christ and love of God for all creation. We are partners
with the lona Community of Scotland which shares our deeply held belief that "with people everywhere we affirm God's goodness in the heart of humanity planted more deeply than all that is wrong." [1]
Our vision is to be open to the Spirit of God in our land as we seek, through listening to Our First People, contemplation, prayer and study, to discern and live out a truly Australian spirituality which speaks the good news of God's love in this time and in this land. A bequest to Wellspring in your will continues this witness of faith contemplation and justice across the many divides in our world.
[1] Christ is "The true light which gives light to every person who comes into the world” John 1:9 paraphrased in lona Morning Prayer.
How to Include Wellspring in Your Will
1. Talk with loved ones: Discuss your wishes so your family understands why Wellspring is close to your heart.
2. Seek legal advice: A solicitor can ensure your Will or Codicil is correctly prepared under the laws of your state or territory.
3. Choose your type of gift, such as a percentage gift (a nominated share of your estate) or a specific gift (a set sum of money or named asset).
